Nutrition basics-Introduction

A very common topic of discussion these days is nutrition. Most of the times when someone is discussing with others about this wide topic the end result is everyone being confused about what is right and wrong. The wide range of information available to a person today is to be blamed for this phenomenon.
Delicious but for some people meat is the evil itself.

Even if someone doesn't care about nutrition it is possible to get bombarded with any kind of info about rediculous diets for fat loss, useful or not so useful supplements and any other kind of non sense someone can think. Another thing that makes the misinformation worse is the various science studies and the misinterpretation of them. All these info comes from the various media sources but mainly from the internet where everybody can write whatever he wants. Now someone may wonder where should I start then.It is simple. You should start with the basics. Many people ignore the basics and they just fall into the trap of the most recent nutrition fad they see because they simply don't know how to distinquish what can be helpful for them and what cant.

So in an attempt to fix this I will try to write about some of the things you should know about nutrition before you make changes in your regular diet.At the following posts of these series I will cover calories, the three macro nutrients(protein, fat, carbs) and some other stuff you should know.
