On Saturday I had the pleasure to go and watch a movie at the cinema after a long time. The name? "The Cabin in the woods». It supposed to be a thriller but to be honest it ended up being a comedy... Did I enjoy it? Sure I did!! I haven't seen a movie like that for a long time and although the script writers were on weed and LSD at the same time, the result was entertaining!
Like all movies from Hollywood, the story unfolds in the USA and starts showing the life of some academic students. They decide to go for vacations in a house hidden somewhere in a forest for a few days. At the same time it appears that secret agents watch every move the make and even the cabin they will stay at is trapped as well. Long story short, very weird things happen and some major turnovers in the plot.
Now some things about the movie in general. It starts as a thriller but it ends up like a comedy. If you can't tolerate violence I wouldn't suggest watching it. At some points it becomes very brutal and some of the viewers had to leave the theater during the movie. If you have seen SAW well it's much less brutal but still it isn't suitable for all audiences. Something more, this movie doesn't make any sense; in the end you are thinking WTF?? but still as I said earlier it is sure entertaining.
