The Cabin in the woods review

On Saturday I had the pleasure to go and watch a movie at the cinema after a long time. The name? "The Cabin in the woods». It supposed to be a thriller but to be honest it ended up being a comedy... Did I enjoy it? Sure I did!! I haven't seen a movie like that for a long time and although the script writers were on weed and LSD at the same time, the result was entertaining!

Wrath of the Titans review

Firstly I have to say that when I watched the first movie (Clash of the Titans) I didn't like it. It didn't have enough action,the impressive scenes were not as amazing as I would expect and the 3D part of the movie was so badly implemented that I was dizzy after the end of the movie. Generally when I leave the cinema wondering what more did that movie offer except from the scenes the trailer already provided something is wrong. So I was a bit suspicious when I heard about the sequel. The trailer left some promise, my brother insisted on seeing it and I had nothing better to do. Needless to say I went to see it and here is my point of view.

Hugo

After watching the Oscars last Monday I realized that I haven't seen some movies that had a lot of hype that night. One of them was Hugo. The movie took most of the technical Oscars so I expected that the hype that the movie takes 3D one step up should be true. Also lets not forget that it was directed by one of the most brilliant men of the cinema industry Martin Scorsese which most of the times is enough for a movie to be quality stuff. Anyway I watched the film, even though there is some time since it was first released, and here is my impression.

Underworld: Awakening

The plot: The movie starts with a description of what happened on the first two films ,the third was a prequel so it does not  count, which in a few words was the war between Vampires and Lycans(werewolves) and the actions of the vampire Selene during that war.Then we see that things changed because humans found about the existence of these two species(?) and there is a shift from hunted to hunters leading to an attempt to exterminate them.During this extermination called the Purge,which is very graphically presented by the movie, Selene is getting caught,frozen and she wakes up twelve years later in a different world which has a lot of surprises for her.

Diablo III Show me the money(or not)

Now you may wonder and where will I get those things?Well they are going to be looted by creatures or created by artisans or traded by other players.The thing that surprised everyone was that  Blizzard will release the game with a Real Money Auction House in it along with its gold equivalent of course as gold is the main currency of the game.To say it simply people will be able to buy and sell game items for..wait for it... real money.The gaming community response was mixed on this thing.Many are saying that it will destroy the game itself,others say that it will define gaming and generally everyone has a different opinion.In my opinion this is not something new.People were buying and selling items with real money in Diablo II and in other games.It just wasn't legal game wise in most of the occasions.Now this is going to happen under the company's control while gaining money from fees(yup they will exist).

Diablo III A revolution or something else?

Since I got a request about it today I am writing about the highly anticipated Diablo III.The game for those who live under a rock or who simply don't care about computer gaming will be the third installment of the popular Blizzard's franchise.The two previous installments were met with unbelievable success because of the straightforward and enjoyable gameplay,the intriguing story and the replay value of them because of the difficulties.So anyone can see why the third game is so highly anticipated.

The return of the king

  The title is obviously misleading.For the fans of the Lord of the Rings trilogy the post title brings memories of the third movie.I remember seeing the movie and while i was moving out of the cinema with a bit misty eyes i was wondering if i will ever see a movie so epic as those three.To be honest i was sure that this wouldnt happen till i saw somewhere that the director of the Lord films Peter Jackson was working on a movie based on another book of Tolkien called the Hobbit.As you may have guessed i was thrilled by those news.Today after i woke up i was even happier because i saw this very promising trailer.

Supernatural 

Definitely one of my favorites!! Two brothers, fight demons and try to solve mysteries of the unknown. Their weapons? Shotguns, shotguns, iron and a demon killing knife. They are called hunters, just like others who to try to solve those supernatural mysteries. Definately not that type of hunters
